Michael joined Aprea & Micheli as a Legislative Assistant in January of 2013, following multiple political positions in both the public and private sectors. In 2019, he was promoted to serve as a lobbyist for the firm, primarily focusing on workforce development, health, waste, and electric vehicle infrastructure technology.
Prior to his experience as a lobbyist, Michael worked as a staffer in the Capitol and later for political campaign and fundraising firms. Upon earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Communication in 2008, Michael began his career working on energy and water policy in the Capitol for an Assembly Member, as well as handling communications for the office. He left the Capitol in 2009 to work for a consulting firm, managing a landslide defeat of a City Council recall effort in Oceanside, CA. Michael also worked for a political fundraising firm in Sacramento, and later represented a national non-profit on a statewide level.
Michael lives in Sacramento with his wife, and remains active in the community through various organizations and nonprofits.
